Aquadizer applied as a decontaminating agent falls under the category of food-additives, with specifications of a processing (technical) aid. Processing aids are “chemicals” that are necessary to perform a certain function during the preparation of food and beverages, but do not have any function on the finished product. For this reason the use of a processing aid does not have to be declared.
